Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to bring anything with me to my appointment?
Please bring all relevant ACC details if applicable, medical notes and X-ray reports. It is useful to bring a list of your medications if you are taking any. Depending on the area of your injury, you may like to bring a pair of shorts or singlet top with you. We do however have these items at the clinic which you can use during your appointment. You are more than welcome to bring a support person with you to your appointment.
How long will my appointment take and how many sessions will I need?
Our initial appointments are 45 minutes. This allows time for a thorough assessment as well as well as treatment. Follow up appointments may be either 30 or 45 minutes depending on your injury and what your physiotherapist thinks is best for you. The number of sessions needed can vary depending on the nature and severity of your injury. The average number of treatments is six. This can be discussed with your physiotherapist in your initial consultation.
