What is Telehealth?

Telehealth is the practice of assessment, education and consultation through telecommunications. This practice is well recognised in both New Zealand and internationally. Whist using Telehealth we still abide by all ethical and professional requirements.  At Takapuna Physio we will be using a program/app called Physitrack. It is simple to use and all you need is the internet and either a phone or computer with a camera. We will send you an email with the link to download the app on your phone where we can start a video chat with you. We can also use Physitrack to provide you with an individualised and detailed exercise program.

Who can benefit from Telehealth?

We are able to use Telehealth for both initial and follow up physiotherapy appointments. In an initial appointment we can help to triage acute injuries and identify any red flag’s that may require urgent referral. From here we can provide advice regarding your injury as well as an exercise program where applicable.
